Enjoy these crispy chicken bites coated in a sweet and spicy mango habanero sauce for a flavorful snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1.5 lb boneless (skinless chicken breasts)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil (for frying or air frying)
  • 1 cup diced ripe mango
  • 1 small habanero pepper (deseeded and minced)
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 0.5 tsp ginger (grated)

Instructions 

  • Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces and coat in egg, then flour mixture.
  • Fry chicken in oil until golden and cooked through, or air fry at 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
  • Simmer mango, habanero, vinegar, honey, lime juice, and ginger until mango softens; blend until smooth.
  • Toss chicken bites with warm mango habanero sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust spice level by adding more or less habanero.
