A delicious stuffed chicken breast filled with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil, then baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 14.11 oz chicken breast
  • 1 piece tomato
  • 2.2 oz fresh mozzarella
  • 0.5 handful fresh basil
  • 1.5 tablespoon olive oil

Seasoning

  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Trim excess parts from chicken and cut a pocket into each breast.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear in a pan with oil until browned.
  • Slice tomato and mozzarella; wash basil leaves.
  • Stuff mozzarella, tomato, and basil into the chicken pockets, then bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use wooden toothpicks to secure the chicken if desired.
