  • 1 pound Chicken breast or thighs
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Paprika
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 green onions Green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds Sesame seeds
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves (minced)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F, line a baking sheet with parchment, and lightly grease.
  • Mix cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl.
  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces, coat with dry mixture, then fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • Simmer soy sauce, gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic until sticky.
  • Toss fried chicken in sauce, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot.

Notes

For extra crunch, double fry the chicken or bake instead of frying for a healthier option.
