Deliciously crispy oven-baked chicken wings seasoned to perfection. Perfect for game day or any gathering!

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 1 kg chicken wings, jointed
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder (not baking soda)
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 0.33 cup hot sauce (optional buffalo sauce)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional buffalo sauce)

Instructions 

  • Pat wings dry with paper towels.
  • Combine wings, oil, baking powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl; toss well.
  • Line a baking tray with foil, set a rack on top, and arrange wings in a single layer.
  • Bake at 200 °C for 30 minutes.
  • Flip wings, increase oven to 230 °C, and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • For buffalo style, whisk hot sauce with melted butter, add wings, and toss to coat. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure wings are thoroughly dried before seasoning.
