A creamy, flavorful chicken pasta dish with sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoning, perfect for a romantic dinner.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or fettuccine)
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Sear seasoned chicken in olive oil until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in the same skillet, then add sun-dried tomatoes and chicken broth, simmer.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, then add Parmesan cheese until melted.
  • Add cooked chicken and pasta, toss, and adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water.
  • Serve topped with fresh basil.

Notes

Use fresh basil for the best flavor and adjust red pepper flakes to taste.
