A delicious and spicy chicken bowl topped with hot honey sauce and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 4 fillets chicken (boneless, skinless)
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables ((bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas))
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa

Instructions 

  • Gather ingredients and chop vegetables.
  • Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet; sear chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side.
  • Mix hot honey with soy sauce and lime juice; add to the pan.
  • Toss in vegetables during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Serve chicken over rice or quinoa and drizzle with extra sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in hot honey for an hour before cooking.
