A flavorful and easy-to-make chicken dish glazed with honey, chili, and garlic for a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Sauce

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, arrange in a single layer.
  • Whisk honey, chili sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, chili flakes, and cornstarch slurry until smooth.
  • Pour sauce over chicken, bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Spoon sauce over chicken during last 5 minutes for a glaze. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Adjust chili flakes to your preferred spice level.
