Ingredients

Protein

  • 500 g boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup halal BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • for garnish Chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Mix honey and BBQ sauce in a bowl, then pour over chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Remove chicken, slice or shred, and serve over rice with extra sauce and garnish.
