A delicious and easy-to-make Caesar salad featuring homemade sourdough croutons.
Ingredients
Dressing
2teaspoonsgarlic paste
1teaspoonanchovy paste
1teaspoondijon mustard, smooth
1teaspoonworcestershire sauce
3tablespoonsjuice of lemon
½cupfull-fat mayonnaise(we love duke’s!)
⅓cupfresh-grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese(plus more for shaving over salad)
24ouncesromaine hearts
Croutons
4cupssourdough bread(cut into bite-sized pieces)
4tablespoonsunsalted butter(melted)
½teaspoongarlic powder
Instructions
Combine garlic paste, anchovy paste, dijon mustard, worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, mayonnaise, parmigiano-reggiano cheese, and salt/pepper in a bowl. Whisk until combined and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Mix sourdough pieces with melted butter, garlic powder, and salt/pepper. Toss to coat.
Air fry at 400°F for 4 minutes or bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden and crisp. Set aside.
Rinse and dry romaine, trim, and cut into strips. Place in a salad bowl.
Pour dressing over romaine, toss to coat, and top with croutons.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, let the dressing sit longer in the refrigerator.
