A delicious and creamy chicken dish with a rich tomato sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Vegetables

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Canned Goods

  • 1 can 14 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Oils & Fats

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Cheese & Herbs

  • to taste Grated Parmesan cheese
  • for garnish Fresh basil leaves

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in a skillet with olive oil for 5-6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté chopped onion in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes and heavy cream, stir, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add dried basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Return chicken to the skillet, nestle into sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan, cover, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the sauce simmer longer to deepen the taste.
