A rich and flavorful chicken dish featuring a creamy Parmesan sauce infused with fresh basil and roasted red peppers.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast ((2 large breasts))
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 yellow onion yellow onion, finely minced
  • 3-4 ounces roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 cup chicken stock ((non-alcoholic))
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions 

  • Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper, then sear in a skillet until golden and cooked through.
  • Melt butter, sauté garlic, onion, red peppers, and paprika until fragrant.
  • Deglaze with chicken stock, simmer briefly.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, season with salt and pepper, then return chicken to the sauce and warm through.
  • Stir in basil leaves, garnish with extra Parmesan and basil, then serve.

Notes

Use fresh basil for the best flavor and adjust seasoning to taste.
