Delicious and easy-to-make chicken pesto sliders perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Loaded with flavorful ingredients and a golden, crispy top.

Ingredients

Buns

  • 12 pieces slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 3 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup basil pesto sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • for garnish Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking dish and shred chicken if needed. Mix chicken with half of pesto, season with salt and pepper.
  • Slice buns horizontally, place bottom halves in dish, spread pesto over them. Layer pesto chicken, peppers, and cheese. Top with remaining pesto.
  • Cover with top buns, brush with garlic butter mixture. Bake covered for 15 minutes, then uncovered for 8-10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let sliders rest for 3-5 minutes, then slice and garnish with basil leaves. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with additional pesto or marinara on the side.
