A creamy and cheesy chicken Alfredo made effortlessly in the slow cooker, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (prefer Kerrygold for richness)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1.5 tsp ground black pepper (prefer freshly ground)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
  • 8 oz penne pasta (cooked separately)
  • 2.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated, not pre-shredded)
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions 

  • Add salt, pepper, garlic, butter, cream cheese, chicken, broth, and cream to slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Shred or slice the cooked chicken, then add cooked penne pasta to the slow cooker. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or basil before serving.
