Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 lemons lemons
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup melted butter

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Mix lemon zest, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne to make the lemon pepper seasoning.
  • Toss chicken wings with lemon zest mixture, then drizzle with olive oil and toss again. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
  • Mix lemon juice and melted butter to prepare lemon butter. Brush over wings and bake for 5-10 minutes.
  • Let wings cool briefly, then serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for the last 2 minutes.
