Ingredients

Meat

  • 5 pieces chicken thighs, skin-on, bone-in
  • 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed

Herbs

  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken skin-side down until golden, about 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Add butter to the skillet, melt, then stir in crushed garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Spoon garlic butter over chicken and garnish with parsley before serving.

Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
